Visiting Great Grandma
This past Sunday, we spent the afternoon at my Grandma’s house- Everett’s Great Grandma Barb!
He’s only seen her a few times since he was a baby, but he loves when she sends him birthday and Christmas cards. And of course, when Everett hears the name “Grandma”, he just knows he’s about to spoiled and loved on!
It was so nice to catch up, talk, and eat good food. Everett even had Great Grandma playing video games and cars with him! It can take him a while to relax in new situations, but he was running around being his goofy self pretty quickly!
Now that we live in Central Wisconsin, I’m looking forward to seeing my family more often. It was difficult to make the four plus hour drives with a little one when we lived further to the west, but cutting that drive time in half makes such a huge difference.
Grandma even humored me with a few pictures, even though she’s not a fan of them. It felt extra special since this was the first time getting to see her after my Dad passed away. We’re not a super emotional family, but it definitely makes you treasure days like these a little more.
