Springtime Go-Kart Driving

5yo boy drives Coleman go-kart through the yard, taking a sharp turn while mud flies from the back tire.

This wasn’t Everett’s first time out with his Coleman go-kart this year, but it was the first time it was nice enough to bring out my camera!

He loves to see how fast he’s going- his favorite pictures aren’t the ones where I freeze motion completely, but the one’s that show the wheels spinning fast and the grass flying-and they might be my favorites too!

We had to put his go-kart away at the end of last summer, a few months earlier than we normally would have, because we were moving. While we were getting our house ready to sell, we figured it would be best if our yard wasn’t being torn up and there was no more potential damage to the property.

I love seeing his confidence grow every time he gets behind the wheel. Everett was a little nervous to start driving his go-kart again after such a long winter, but once he gave it a go, he didn’t want to stop.

Everett’s favorite part of driving his go-kart is doing donuts, and then checking out how deep the ruts are getting! He created his own little track in the back yard and likes all the obstacles that he can drive around- but he thinks the thorny bush should probably come out! Enjoy a few of our favorite pictures!
