When I heard about the Taste N’ Glow event just outside of Wausau, I was so excited to see hot air balloons in person. But, we had just gotten back from vacation a day or two before the event, and I wasn’t sure if I would have enough energy- I really needed a vacation from our vacation! But I just couldn’t sit home knowing something amazing was going on.

I am so glad we went! It was a much bigger event than I anticipated, and I’m still in awe of the community of people it took to get this event to take off (pun intended). I did only make it to one event- next year I hope to make it to a sunrise lift-off… I just have to be a morning person for one day…. I think I can manage that!

Everett loved the bounce-houses; he must have tried every single one! I think the parents all breathed a sigh of relief when they shut down before the big lift off though- it gave everyone time to find a good spot to watch the balloons as they flew overhead.

I think the only way this event would be more amazing is if I could be up in a balloon next time- flying in a hot air balloon is a big bucket list item of mine!
